granted " nothing shifts as fasts as transmission fluid" as i think it was HoZy who said it, but if you want a sporty feel or want to do skids. then manual all the way, you have way more control of your car and its just a sh*t tonne more fun.

    Sounds better too
and your brakes last longer as you use the gears to slow down.

Coming up to a corner, drop a gear fly round.

18" tyres are too expensive to do skids with, I just like being in proper and complete control of the thing, a feeling I never got when it was auto. And the fact it's better on fuel now with the tune and tall-ass gearing.... Best decision I've made all year.

Cheers man, yeah it's come a fair way. Had no plans for anything that I wound up doing to it either, whole thing just grew out of control.

That car looks absolutely evil! Love it. VT's seem to be growing on me. Nice ones anyway - my mind was just ruined by bogans absolutely destroying them. Very nice! ;D

God I wish I had some sort of money to do things to my beast. AND I NEED MY P'S - I tear (how the hell do you even spell that) seeing it just sit there for most day's - i rarely get to drive it as Mum doesn't drive with me - only get to drive with my Pop and I rarely see him.

Anyway, awesome car man! Can't wait to see what else happens to it! :D

I wonder what the hell this could be? Seriously....

    hahaha

I'm thinking of a few things... keep this one or not, panel work or engine work... Proper stereo or something...

I dunno, needs much thinking, aka much beers and drunken ebay spells. I've been considering doing a Senator style bobtail wing on it, but might look a bit OTT with the standard Calais body. Hmmmmm.

If I go mechanical, I'm getting a hold of a newer motor and a twin plate clutch, doing heads and a cam. SUPER beast...

The other idea was to just get a VZ 6.0.

Imo, the body is fine the way it is, dont do any bodykits as 9/10 times it will ruin it. Unless you go with monaro front bumper, that would look super nice.
    I think go engine.
But many people say sound is addictive so that could be pretty awesome.

    DONT SELL IT!

Well it's got a decent enough setup in it already, Alpine CDA-117e, JL G4500 4x125 amp, kenwood 1x1000 amp, JL c2-650 splits and TX-650 rears, and MTX sledgehammer 7500 12" sub. But could always do a proper box in the boot and make everything look well fancy... But honestly it messes with your ears already, hardly needs to go bigger :p

Tidying up the body and some MOAR POWAHH seems to be the ticket.

what you did there, I see it....

ha actually they are quite a simple job. The connector to the cars harness is the same, unless you get the lights out some weird late series Monaro with parkers in weird locations, like I did... So I just chopped up the wiring out of the stock headlights to get some parker globes in there.

Inside the car there is a change you need to do on the highbeam switch, so the low beam doesn't turn off when high goes on, its basically cutting one wire and joining it to one at the same place. There's info on this site about it.

I went with some kinda HID's in the car eventually, but I got a crap colour temp. The white looks cool as, but doesn't light up the road as well as I'd like.

Well, the clutch lasted a month... Oh well it was just a stocko job.

Might roll on with those plans for a new motor with some sneaky mods, like 243 heads and a cam of some descript, and a twin plate McLeod clutch...

All the best ideas start as someone else's brainwave...

Put two new window switches in and reconnected the rear speakers. Borrowed a DSLR and took a few pics...
