Hi all,
I have a 2001 VX commodore executive 3.8L v6 that I am looking to get a 2.5” catback on. However, there seems to be multiple set ups, one is for a daul cat set up and one is for a single cat. I’m not sure if the vx has 1 or 2 cats, I haven’t looked yet but before I do can anyone help me out by telling me how many cats the V6 vx has so that I order the correct catback? Thanks in advance

My advice would be to look under the car. no point ordering something on what should be there only to end up with the wrong item.

Pretty easy to swap cat back after the new engine goes in. If a garage is doing the swap chances are they will have it up on the hoist at some point and can let you know what you need.

Standard ecotec V6 should be a single system IIRC. Super6 and V8 had twin systems.

If you can might be an idea to go twin exhaust. Might breathe easier if you do.
