LOL, your an idiot. Someone is willing to pay 4500, and get it transported from perth to melbourne. I think she knows its worth more then 3500. High K's mean **** all, these engines go for ages, and taxi's are regularly serviced and maintained, better then most other cars.
Actually....the car is no longer for sale. I'm now being taken to court over it. Anyone offer some legal advice?
Long story short, I ****ed up severly on a Oztion auction, didn't realise you couldn't put a reserve on the car, I let the highest bidder know of my mistake, the auction ended at $2000 and now he's coming over on Wednesday to pick the car up. I have let Oztion know whats happened, they told me the rules I have broken, fair enough, I screwed up, and they said I don't have to finalize it, just have to accept any bad feedback he leaves me. I refused to sell if for that price letting him know (and Oztion) and he is and I quote And there yu go.... I'm ****ed sideways.
dont worry about that pencil neck, from the sounds of it you just get some bad rep. He is only trying to scare you into selling your car cheap. Tell 'em to get stuffed.
Yeah, I have an appointment with my Lawyer on Wednesday, so now the car is not for sale. I don't want to sell in case it does go to court. I know he cant charge me with anything, its a civil matter. But anyways see how we go on Wednesday. Worst thing is, the car is registered in my dad's name, so he will actually have to take my dad to court.
Damn sorry to hear.... But seeing as its in your dads name that might work out good, because he could maybe say its his car and that you advertised it without his consent or somthing. Good luck anyway, hope it doesnt end badly
i reckon you should be right because if oztion them selves have said you dont have to finalize it and you have that written in an email or somthing the most that can happen is as they said bad feedback.
Yeah Dad has already said he has my back (and mentioned something about a baseball bat haha) But like Dad said, this bloke doesn't realise my dad has one of the biggest lawyers in WA, even though its a small claim they are willing to represent me if it should end up in court, if he does take me to court, I can then sue him for costs involved in loosing the sale & advertising, plus my legal fee's. This should be intresting. Dad has already said he has agreed for me to sell it for $4500 NOT $2000 and refuses to sign transfer papers that say anything otherwise. Just in case both of our cars now have fully comp insurance on them and Craig is taking the day off work. So more costs that could be added to his balance. This guy is a second hand parts dealer, and he knew I was making a mistake and has intentionally played on it. Here is what Oztion said. So I think my ass is covered.
Holy ****, thats sucks big time. I once bid on a car on ebay, and it went rediculously cheap, I rang the seller, who was rather upset how much he had lost. I let him keep the car, and we came to the agreement we both leave positive feedback, it was not fair for me to take the car at that price, even though he was willing to as he saw it as his mistake. Good to see OZtion are atleast giving you some advice, apposed to ebay who would only care about fees. The guy doesnt stand a chance, theirs no legal contract, nor has he paid for the car, dont except ANY money from him, and their is no sale. He wont pursue it in court, it will cost him more than its worth, but he may try and use a lawyer to scare you. Stand up and he will fall. I wouldnt worry about going him for expenses it was your mistake, just dont loose out on the car, your expenses arnt his problem really. Good luck with it all, and keep us posted.
I just sent him this letter, which was also forwarded on to my lawyer. I think this should put an end to it quickly. I have also been advised to sell my car to whom I wish. The car will be gone between 2-3pm today. *name changed for publication purposes.
in the end, its your car and you dont have to sell it if you dont want to. he can take it to small claims court and state his business but your not breaking any laws by not selling it to him.
