2001 VXII Lumina (Herron White)
The car in question: 2001 VXII V6 Lumina at 190,000km

Ok, so after spending almost $2000 getting all the problems fixed on my car, I have a new major one.

Firstly, it's had a general service, new tyres, new brakes, tie rod ends, centre bearing, rack boots, bushes, suspension repairs, etc etc

Then, I had some engine overheating issues so I had the following work done over several weeks trying to resolve the issue:

New thermostat
Coolant flush

(Still overheating)

New heater tap
Coolant flush

(Still overheating + noisy belt)

New Drive belt
Coolant flush
New Radiator

My temperature has been good ever since except straight away my car seems sluggish now and it revs at about 2500-3000rpm when I am for example turning left onto a main road accelerating to 60km/h or when accelerating at the traffic lights, my car seems to rev like it is towing something heavy, I took it back to the mechanic and they did a transmission service and trans oil change (it was BLACK), it felt ok for a day or 2 but is now sluggish again.

I have been told it could be lots of things including:

Needing a whole new transmission
Throttle position sensor might be faulty
Might need new spark plugs and leads (although only a year or 2 old)

Does anybody have any ideas what it could be? I'm hoping it's not my trans as I've spent pretty much all my money on this car getting it safe and reliable.

It's just clocked 190,000km

Any advice would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance.
