2004 VZ S series ute exhaust hair

Hi everyone, i am unsure if i have posted this in the right place. I have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever, and apologise in advance for being absolutely clueless about what is going on with my ute.

I recently brought a second hand vz ute. There were no issues with it initially. Only about a day or two ago, i noticed what looked like clumps of hair extensions just hanging out of the exhaust pipe. I keep pulling the crap out whenever I see it because its embarrassing. Nobody wants a hairy muff. The car isn't stock standard as it has a twin exhaust pipe and its louder then the last commadore I had. Can someone please give me a solution to this hairy exhaust or explain to me what i need to do to stop it.

Any pictures you loaded haven't shown up.
The 'hair' is probably fibreglass material falling out of the mufflers.
