I got the bonnet for $600 but then it arrived unprimed and unpainted so that theres no scratches or anything on it. It then cost close to $200 to prime, paint and fit it so around about $800 mate.

I was wondering if it is possible to make them grilles on the front side guard like on your ute where the indicator is. Would it be possible to cut a hole in it and then cover it up with the grill and place the indicator ontop but I don't think it would quite look the same. If not then would you by any chance know how much it costs to get the front side guards with them?

Also I've found some rims that I want to get as I still have the ugly standard ones. I want to get a larger size but I dont know if I should get 18 or 19 inch (Standard being 17). I want it to look good (I think 19 look better) but someone told me that the bigger the size, the less handling and power you get? Once I get the rims I also need to take the mudguards off to make it look nicer.

$800, thats pretty good, where did you buy it from?

You can buy the vz gaurd flutes from holmart and there is a how too here

As for rims i say go as big as you can afford. I think 19" are a good size personally on the VZ.

The manual Thunders have the L98, the autos have the L76.

Agree with both of those - red calipers imo
Have you thought about changing the number plate lights? Blue LED's always look good on a silver car..although it's illegal I'm pretty sure, so if you wanna keep it legal white looks good too and imo are a bit more tasteful, which seems like the look you're going for
    Whitewalls maybe? Tinted lights?
personalised plates (if you don't already have them lol), makes the car memorable
Obviously it's your car and comes down to your personal taste, just throwing some ideas around :)

Your ride looks very tough btw, surprised I haven't seen it around as I spend heaps of time driving around Mornington and Mt Martha. I'll keep an eye out :p

Zombie the car is fantastic as is, my only suggestion is get the Lower Grille Mesh which goes under your Plate. $65 Dollars from Holden, I put it on mine and think it looks heaps better

    Hey esassin,

Thanks for the suggestions, I agree with you and just go classic red for the brake calipers.
As for rear number plate lights i have put in white LED's and they look shmick, i do want that clean, tasteful, tough looking car.
Whitewalls always look good new but i worry about them fading or going brown.
Tinted lights I think only really look good on black car, not sure about silver.
Personalised plates i would like but just trying to find something that suits and isnt taken, everything i want is taken haha.

Thanks again for the comment, ill keep an eye out for your car too mate.

    YZ250,

    Thanks for the comment mate,

I do like my car as is but i just want that one extra thing that makes it stand out from the crowd.

I have already added the lower honeycomb grille (pic below) , put it in a month or 2 ago. It does finish the front of the car off, dont know why they didnt come standard.
I got mine for a steal, $4.50 brand new and that isn't a mistype.

Fair enough, personally I'm a big fan of the clean & classy look, which your ute certainly has. I've been thinking about tinting my lights (even went and bought the blackout paint..) but still unsure. Bad luck on the plates, hopefully something comes up.
Thought any more about the sound system? I guess it depends how into music you are, but I find driving almost twice as enjoyable with a good system. Then again I'm an audiophile haha

    Hey Everyone,

So I haven't put any new photos up in a while so i'll try and get some new ones up this weekend, hopefully the weather is kind to me.

Also thinking that i might put a nice mild cam in the my ride to give it a nice lumpy sound that i like to get some more rwkw, does anybody have any suggestions what size i should put in and what cost i would be looking at? And what power gains ill be looking at.

gave the thunder a full detail on the weekend so its looking goood.
