2007 Holden VE sv6 transmission issue

Gday guys,

I'm hoping somebody can help me diagnose a issue I have with my VE Sv6.

The other day I was driving and without warning the sequential shift seemingly switched over by itself and red lined my car.

I pulled over and turned the car off and on and again, since then the sequential hasn't worked. The normal transmission functions as normal.

I had it put on the computer but no error codes have come up and the mechanics have no idea what the issue is.

Had anybody had this issue or know what it may be?

So did it do this in gear and take off by itself, or in Neutral? Strange that it made both actions together, ie changing modes and accelerating. If it happens again i'd be wanting a new whatever computer module it is that controls that...

Sounds like it could have ended a lot worse!
