2008 SS
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum but I have a 2008 SS and it was driving fine the other day, but the next day, it wouldn't start and it doesn't even beep when the key is turned. There's no lights, no power getting to anything at all. Cant even open the boot with the button or the doors. I have opened the boot manually and charged the battery but that hasn't helped. I found an ECM reset on this forum earlier and will try that tomorrow but does anyone else have any other ideas? Its rather annoying that its just sitting there in the middle of my driveway and cant be moved.

The battery might require replacement.

Check all your fuses,
and MAKE sure you put them back in the correct location,
Best idea is to "TAKE A PHOTO" of the fuses panels first,
As there are 3 on a VE,
Under the Bonnet
Passengers side kick panel
Adjacent the battery [in a Wagon, but not sure on a sedan, I assume they will be in the same location]

Ive checked all the fuses and they are a bit burnt on the ends but they aren't black on the inside and the connection isn't broken. I figure the little bit of char isn't an issue because every other fuse in the car has the same thing. Next step will be to replace the battery I guess.

Before you replace the battery, get it load tested to confirm if it's buggered or not
Places like Battery World will do this for you for free....If it is buggered you can grab a new one while you're there

How old is the battery?
I have a 2009 from new and am on my third battery
I just replace them well before the "go down" crash.
I purchased a 3000 Energi last time and are VERY pleased with it for price and performance.

The battery is 2 or 3 years old but it hasnt had any issues starting it as of late. Starts first time every time without any pause.

V6 VEs occasionally have PCM failure. Not sure if it affected the V8 PCMs as well though?
