VE Maloo
Hey guys, just picked up a 08 VE Maloo, dream car!!!

Has a few things I got to sort out but one that’s puzzling me is a stability control fault. ( stability control short to ground)

ABs sensors are fine, it doesn’t come up with a light at all.

I found the button was stuck so I replaced the button and re plugged in but still coming up with the fault on the screen.

it will have a fault there for something like stability, or its fixed and just taking some drive cycles to clear after it knows its good

if not then should be a fault code in there, if stability is an issue it will have a code related to it could be many things to cause it

You will get stability fault warnings when there are low voltage conditions

The ECM drops the system to allow more voltage to run engine.

So before exploring any other options, have the battery load tested. It’s health confirmed and if the charge circuit is performing as it should. Battery world can do that for you.

However, as a VE owner, I’d be buying a Topdon BT 100 battery tester for around $50 so you always have one on hand.

When removing the battery, always disconnect negative first. Reconnect negative last.

It’s something to tick off the list before moving on to more complex issues.
