Hi guys, was just wondering I’ve had my engine light on for a while with issues regarding the cat and o2 sensors not reading, I bought **** ones of eBay and now obviously it’s worse (thought they were Bosch). It’s got 4 sensors and I was just wondering do you have to have the 4 in or can you just have 2 cause I honestly can’t afford to buy both pre and post cat sensors for both sides.
Any help would be absolutely great thanks guys

As above ^^^^

What was the DTC Code ?,
as the DTC code/ss will indicate the faulty one/s in question, and possibly just need to change what's required.

It comes up with like 6 different codes all relating to the sensors and cats, fuel too lean and too rich, o2 sensor faults regarding to heater and other things. I don’t have my reader on me but they were all around p0171 p0172 were two of them

is it driving poorly because o2 is faulty
or is o2 reporting a fuel/ignition/cat fault that is causing car to drive poorly
what scan tool being used and exactly what codes are important clues
check fuel trims is always useful
a fault code does not mean replace that part
it means test that area and see if that part is doing its job and reporting that the fuel mix is actually faulty

All 4 sensors were cheaply bought on eBay from past owner, I’ve not had much experience with cars but I’m gathering that if you buy cheap o2 sensors off eBay for under 60 bucks that they are no good ?? And all the codes were mentioning sensors in the cats

upstream report fuel mix
downstream report cat functioning
and good sensors are around $110 each
