Just thought I might share my most recent toy. Bought it in August this year. Always up for suggestions and opinions.
Will put some better photos up soon, just changed the wheels tonight.


Model: 2008 series 1 ssv sportswagon

Colour: Red

Bodykit: Stock

Engine type: 6.0L

Power: 246rwkw

Engine mods: 1 3/4" headers with high flow cats

Intake: VCM otr

Exhaust: 2.5" extracted performance catback

Gearbox: 6 speed auto

Brakes: Slotted & dimpled with 'red stuff' front pads and 'black extreme' rear pads

Suspension: SSLHD rear springs with SSSL front springs and Monroe GT sport shocks

Wheels: 20" genuine HSV pentagons in shadow chrome

Interior: Standard SSV Leather

Extras: Debadged rear except the lion (gloss black), gloss black vinyl boot strip, gloss black vinyl side door strips, plasti dip front behind rego, red calipers.


Future mods: Wheels black, front spoiler (sports armor), brembo brakes, sound system, HID globes and deciding between a cam/charger or turbo.

Looks really good mate with the pentagons and lowered.
Do vcm otr and get it tuned next. You will be amazed at the difference. I was when I had mine done Haha.

Next I'm going to finish the basic visuals, black wheels and vinyl roof and strip.
Then do headers cats and vcm in 1 go, so I only need the 1 tune :)

I'm going to get some more photos this weekend if the weather is good.

Yeah makes sense. I couldn't wait to do it all at once. Lol. Will look even better with black wheels.

i deadset cannot wait to get my new wagon, after seeing this im so keen for it, only a few months left now :D, looking awesome mate needs black rims an a full exhaust ;)

Yeah black rims is the next job. Sandblasting and powdercoating after Christmas.
The vinyl roof/strip and black badges.

After that rest of the exhaust and intake shall come.

What paint did you use and what prep did you do?

I'm umming and ahhing about doing my rears - the brembos look so good on the front it's a shame Holden didnt chuck rears on as well!

I used a little bit of prep wash on a rag and cleaned them up first, got as much off as possible.
Then because the paint I had was a spray can I sprayed it into the lid then used a fine paint brush to paint them. Did one layer then did another about 15 minutes later. The paint was
Duplicolor red brake caliper paint.

All 4 took approx 3hrs which was removing wheels too. So was really quite easy, just takes time to make sure you don't smear it everywhere.
