Sounds good. What headers you getting and who's tuning it?

Custom ones made by Hallam performance and Hallam performance are doing the tune too.

Nice car mate. Let me know what you think of the vcm otr and tune, as I'm looking at the same things you are doing.

    Yeah will do.
Talking to the bloke, he's doing stepped headers. I don't know exactly what they are, but from what I understood, it gives it 2 steps or something, instead of the standard single constant up power or something.

Cheers haha. Still deciding if I want to get them done black or not.

Yeah definitely worth putting some thought into it versus same old big bore, low-tech straight pipe 4-1 merge.

Yeah well dad has known this bloke for years, done his VY maloo, VE senator, VE grange, VT SS, and has good reviews. So i talked to him about what other mods I plan on going (a mild cam), and he said for best drivability and value to go these headers.
So ill trust him as dad has, and go the 1 3/4" stepped.

Maybe you can ask someone to do a photoshop for you to give you an idea of what it will look like with them done in black, just a thought.

Or if your a fan of plasti-dipping you could try that?..not to everyones taste but ive seen a few sprayed silver to black and they look pretty bloody good but would cost $100 bucks or so in product for a "test" of them in black(gloss or matte finish).
Photoshop is a good sighter for sure, even better if you managed to spot one with them done somehow in the flesh.

Yeah I'm doing some photoshop with it at the moment with my front grill. So will do wheels at same time.

Well for $290 I can get them sandblasted and powder coated, so I wouldn't bother with a $100+ test anyway.

It's more I just don't know if it'll make it too "stand outy" kinda.

Anyway car was dropped off on Monday night for the headers cats otr and dyno. Was supposed to get it back last night but they had the wrong parts..so I get it back at 7pm tonight. Pretty damn keen!! Will post a video in the coming few days.

So vcm didn't send the exhaust bloke the intake again today!

At the moment it has the headers and cats on but have to go back tomorrow after work for the otr and dyno.

Sounds good so far though with just that done :)

    Today's dyno run.
2.5" system (extracted performance), 1 3/4" headers (Hallam performance), high flow cats (Hallam performance), vcm otr, and a MAF dyno tune.
Very happy with results. Has made it a bit louder than just catback and deeper too.
Now chirps and sounds up a little changing 1st-2nd-3rd-4th when giving it a boot full.

Will post a video tomorrow hopefully of the sound.

Also while at Hallam performance the bloke happened to have a hsv engine cover laying around.
Infill panels will be coming soon too to clean up the engine bay.

About 490Nm, you will feel that extra 50Nm (11%) atw, particularly if you have a sensitive bum.

I saw it on the computer and I'm pretty sure it was 588nm.

So I'm guessing you meant to write 590 not 490?
