Hi people, this is a mates car. Hes looking at putting the: VE HSV GXP / Redline Brembo front brake kit - discs 355mm x 32mm, 4 pot calipers and pads.
He has 20x9.5 Slinkey wheels all round.

Also does any one know what the size of the calipers are, so we could measure and check the clearance our self.

link if allowed is: https://www.holmart.com.au/ve-hsv-gxp-redline-brembo-front-brake-kit-calipers

There is some confusion weather these will fit on or not and have enough clearance? And if not, could some one explain please.

cheers Pete

The issue is the offset of the wheel not so much the size. Some 20" wheels will not have the right offset. Their add is misleading in saying 19" wheels are required. I fitted Brembo's to a 2007 ve ss ute with 18" wheels. I bought my wheels from Keith 4 wheels in Brisbane. Perhaps some wheel outfit in Christchurch could help you with the right offset.

Hi keith, thanks for the message.
Ok I understand now with the offset. I just don't know the offset that's needed for the upgrade.

Cheers
Pete

The other bit off crap is that you need HSV wheels. Any wheel with the right offset will do provided they are 18" or bigger.

My mates wheels are 20x9.5 tbc slinky with a offset of 45.
Does any one have measurments of the brembo front brake calipers?

Will eventually ask a wheel or brake shop when they open after the lock down is lifted.

Cheers Pete

The Brembos on my VE protrude 60 mm from the rotor to the outside of the calliper.
As NZ is in more of a lock down than Australia get your mate to ring Keith 4 wheels here in Brisbane. Their number from NZ is 0061738416244. They should be able to give him a definite answer. Could save him some grief.

Much appreciated Keith, I'll post back after I get some info.

If they don't fit another option is the VE HSV ap racing 4 pot callipers. They still stick out the same amount but are less bulky. My original Ve series 1 wheels wouldn't clear the Brembos but would clear the ap racing brakes.
