- VE 2012 S2 SV6
I have a 2012 SV6 with an Audiocontrol lc2i LOC in to an Alpine MRX-F35 amp, two channels running fronts and two channels bridged for the sub.
The front splits are Hertz MLK 165.3's and the sub is a slot ported JL Audio CP112-W0v3.
The problem I'm having is very mediocre sound quality, especially the top end. I have the tweeters set on plus 2db on the x-over and the treble on the IQ is set at plus 12. It should be unbearably bright, but it's only just enough. I'm not happy with the sound overall.
I'd like some recommendations for things to try. I'm Looking at getting a DSP, but I don't want to spend a fortune maybe around the $500 mark. Would like to hear what people that are into high quality sound have done to get around the very ordinary IQ sound. I know pre-outs would be the best way to go, but I want to avoid this route if possible.
Thank you for any help.
