Hi guys,
Been chasing an intermittent fault on my 2012 SV6, runs fine most of the time but has the occasional missfire and flat spotting. After about an hour of driving it will missfire and stall, cranking the ignition straight away results in no response except for the starter clicking, after waiting around for 5 mins it will slowly crank and start up. After this runs like normal again.
Scanned for fault codes and nothing??, plugs and leads and battery all OK so thinking it could be crank angle sensor. Hoping it is straightforward and I can do it myself.
Anyone know where it is located on the LFX engine? Do I need to remove the harmonic balancer to access it or was this only for earlier models.
