2012 VE commodore stopped won’t start or crank just a constant ticking noise- please if anyone has advice

Left work yesterday car stopped battery was fine tried to start the car but started making a consistent ticking noise when turning on car won’t start

Ticking when trying to crank (like a solenoid clicking)? First thing would be a flat battery.
