whats the cam like when driving "normally" with low revs and low speeds?

it's pretty good to drive.. it hardly is piggy unless you stuff a take off up then you kind of know about it... or if your going to slow in the wrong gear its surges a bit.. 6th gear is now a bit useless until I get diff gears.. but it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be.

i guess a fair bit comes down to how the vehicle is 'tuned'

ha yeah that's what I wanted a big one.. just don't go big if you want to go forced induction later which I'm half considering.. we'll see what happens.. forced induction is a long long way off big $$ to go that step and I've already spent a lot.. might be house time or something lol

true. but if I go FI then i'd be spending around the 10k mark and would only need to swap the cam as it would already have springs etc. so it wouldn't bump the price up too much. plus your idle vid still sounds like car porn lol

So pretty much had one of the shittest days ever on sunday.

Tassie's cruise for charity was on down here. It's normally held in the capital of Hobart but due to other reasons.. it was held up north of Tas in Launceston.

Got the ute prepared and ready.. Sunday morning woke up at 530.. had some breakfast and then left for the 2 and a hour bit drive to the meet point.. quick stop off at the carwash in Launceston to get rid of all the bugs. Got to the meet point 25 mins before departure. Was a sweet sweet day. Sunny warm.. sun out perfect day for a cruise.

Ute was looking nice. We all left for the cruise up to Mrytle park for lunch and a BBQ. Never been up that way before about 60km out of Launceston.

about 3/4 way through.. went around a slight bend doing 100k's and my LHR control arm completely snapped.

Was very lucky not to lose control of the ute and crash.. pretty much shat myself.

Spent the next 4 hours on the side of the road with no food... trying to sort out some help.. and to top it off the actual BBQ spot was a blackspot with no reception so everyone ahead couldn't be contacted. I eventually got it towed to Launceston.

Most disappointing day I've ever in counted in the car scene.

It's only travelled 16,000km aswell

On other news just put a new diff in the ute getting it ready for powercruise Tas this month.
Went with 3:9 ratio and a harrop true trac.

Got myself VIP for powercruise so hopefully should be a good weekend!
