Hello. I couldn’t find this anywhere for ages so decided to ask Holden direct. Got a response! Thanks Holden!

"That was for :2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

For 2016:

SSV Redline Sedan Total : 5429

SSV Reserve Edition Sedan Total: 39

SSV Sedan Total: 1517

Red Hot SSV Redline: 962."

And got my answer!
“There was 260 Red Hot SSV sedans made in 2016.”
"There was 157 Automatics in the red hot color."

So I have 1 of 1517 in total for the last year of SSV 2016, and 1 of 260 red hot SSV for 2016. Also told I have 1 of 157 red hot auto sedan SSV 2016. Awesome. Just like fun facts!

I ask for 2016 SSV build numbers as I noticed very few around and in the market in Australia! I got Redline, SSV, and Reserve Edition numbers amazingly from Holden! I assume for 2016 only but I asked again if it was for 2016 only.

One happy “rarer” SSV owner... although reserve edition trumps em all! Here’s hoping they are so kind to tell me how many red ones were made! 500?

With the SSV ending in 2016 that’s it for that model. I guess you Redline owners can add 2017 numbers to these to get totals.

I guess all you need to do is send them an email or ask as we now have the total build numbers here anyway. Only we missing SS numbers... I didn't ask for those I was only after mine but was supplied more than I asked so happy.

Yeah that was a special edition which lasted … what, about 2 months?
So I reckon if you took 1/6 of 2016's SS production, then boosted it to maybe 1/5 because a few people would've been swayed towards buying an SS Black just because it had a few extras, you'd be close-ish to correct.

So to guess … dealers reckoned they were selling about as many SS's as SSVR's. So ~5400 SSVR's - let's guess ~5k SS's (because I see more SSVR's on the road than SS's). So I'm going to guess they would've sold about 1k SS Blacks. Unless it was a promotion for 1 month instead of the 2 that I stated above, in which case it'd be around 500 I reckon.

I thought it was available for a bit longer? Not sure. They offered them around April 2016. Mine is June 2016 build..
