We picked up a 2019 Equinox LT model...
what we spotted was a loom hanging down from under the glove box, upon further investigation, it looks like there "may" be a protective panel missing...

Everything is exposed, wires, parts, sharp metal extrusions... (see photos)

can someone with the same 2019 LT Equinox have a look at there car and tell me if it`s missing?
also in the rear cargo area (under the floor cover) on the left and right sides there are large cut outs, you can see straight through to the metal body work... looks odd to me...

Cheers... Richard

Ps i know this is not a commodore... but.... (if it needs to be taken down by the mods... that`s cool)

What does the dealer say ?

i voiced my concerns to them about this issue (and some other things, like a scratch, missing tow hook cover, low petrol warning on the day of collection, and a few other things)

Anyway regarding this "possible" missing panel, they asked me to take a photo of the missing panel so they can get one ordered...... if i had the "possible" missing panel to take a photo of i would not be inquiring in the first place asking for the panel...... GGRR!!!!

it`s funny how once the purchase has been made, there was a "lack" of response from the sales guys on my questions, so i sent a Email (with many photos) to the manager.... this i hope will get a response.

i`m just throwing the question up here on the hope that someone has the same car and tell me if there car also looks the same.

My father bought an 2019 LTZ Equinox and has this loom hanging down too. I noticed it when I got out of the passenger seat and brushed my foot past it. Does look like he's missing a panel to.

He also has those cutouts in the boot

So what the hell is with this hanging loom!!!
regarding a possible missing panel... will be interesting to see if there are many people with the same setup (hanging loom, no panel)
i may try to get in contact with Holden USA (mexico built unit in my case) and see what they say

Yeah it is interesting. He's going to mention it at his first service, see what they say about it.

Just cheap and poor design.... made to a price i guess...

Also there is a razor sharp guillotined edge under that can be felt if you run your hand under the glove box.
I did go and have a look at a equinox in the display yard... same same.. no panels. just the wire loom was not hanging down, but still quite visible..
I will just gently tuck it back in place and put a few cable ties around it in a few places.
it is was it is.... that`s life...

These are those small details that other manufacturers do properly and reinforce buyers' perceptions of quality. Holden struggles to make sales in the SUV market segments because their products lack the perceived quality of their competitors. This lack of concern for quality seems to be typical of the company and combined with the disinterest displayed towards the rust in the ZB forum, it certainly deters me from ever considering a new Holden in the future.

It's not good enough though... like a customer should not have to tuck away a wiring loom :p

Cost saving measures I guess, like removing a horn from the series 2 VF. No one on the left side of my car can hear my horn as it now only has one horn on the right side. Bit stupid when it's meant to be used as a warning device.
