You lol'd at immortality saying 250kg was alot - I (and Shane also it seems) took that as not agreeing with immortality.
Maybe a typo on your part.

But it seems now everyone agrees 250kg is a big difference at where we are talking. Correct everyone??

250 kgs is a lot. I was lolling because he sounded like he was defending someone who said there was a 600 kg difference. By saying they are a lot lighter.

They are a lot lighter! It's only about 250kgs though.

My 31 was only 100-150 kgs lighter than the 33's and 34's my motor came out of but it'd run .5-1 second quicker than them still. 250 kgs at almost 20% is a big difference it's more then an entire sports bike weighs lol.

They are a lot lighter! It's only about 250kgs though.

Yeap, my Harley was 295kg dry brand new.

My RD is 120kg with a full tank and has about 55 or 56 HP ATW.

My old CBR is 201 with 115 atw , not a lot by today's standards or others I owned.

But I tell you what it's difficult to ride at times being 5 foot 8 and always erect hahaha

Yeah for a 1977 my bike goes pretty damn hard for a 400cc. Like you say compared to a modern bike it's fairly average.

It also depends on what models you compare, executive Vs Calais or Berlina etc.

@1300kg yes at 800kg maybe not so much. It's not the weight in KG it's a percentage.

250kg makes a huge difference when you are talking about V6 engines that make 125/147kw and the lowest base weight is 1300kg. This discussion is about V6 engines in Commodores so nothing else is really relevant. The other thing is people talk about power but forget about the torque where the difference is even less between the 2 engines been 292Nm and 304Nm respectively.

We aren't racing Corollas here with engine transplants :)
