Can someone help me, I bought some 243 ported heads, they have rectangular ports, fore my vx ss, was there such a head, all my research for this casting number shows cathedral shaped ports, will they suite my ls1 block, and can I use my ls6 manifold, please help thanks

If they have 243 stamped on them they will definitely fit no issues, same with the manifold


Post a photo of the intake ports if you can

Thanks Munz, since been told they were opened up, to the gasket line on the head, do you think this will improve the flow more? Advantage or disadvantage, having trouble putting photo on thread

Yes it should improve flow, I'd say advantage as they will flow heaps more than your 241's and with the added compression of the chamber should result in more horsepower
