BTW I am no Dyno queen ...far from it

Yes there will be a new time slip soon ........ the car had only completed its initial power and road tune on Friday so be patient

The clutch is currently getting upgraded as the factory one snaps open above 7000RPM and stays there :(

do iiiiiiit!

*shakes fist*

Peak power now produced at more than 1000rpm higher than stock, seems about right.

That said with such a high increase in engine speed to produce such high peak power the gain in bottom-mid range torque would be pretty minor, making it not very useable everyday. But I haven't driven the car or tuned it or dynod it so that's all theoretical.

After all, Power (kW) = Torque (N.m) x Speed (RPM) / 9.5488.

Ahhh, the benefits of VVT ;)

Who cares what it started with and that you do or do not agree with the figures

The aim of the thread was to show a before and after result of the install and tune of the mace cams on a vehicle that had the same parts as SVS Autos first car.

Stick your head in the ground if you want idc but technology is always advancing and people will always try and improve on what they have hence why these cams were developed in the first case.

Two cars now have made the same figures on the same dyno, it really isn't unbelievable by any stretch that at almost 8000rpm with the right cams, timing and intake/exhaust that an LFX could achieve 255rwkw. The AUS engines are already detuned from factory for Australia, US Camaros make 240fwkw with the LFX (SAE certified), which with our drivetrain and parasitic loss is already close to 180rwkw stock as a rock.

Good results, people need to remember the 6 banger is a much more advanced engine then our dinosaur 6L V8's. You also have to remember that it might make 250rwkw but it wont have the torque down low like a 250rwkw V8 hence the peak power at close to 7800rpm.
