Great Looking Car Awesome looking ute mate, you have done a lot of work on it and it really shows. I own a V6 ute as well but it is no where near as tidy as yours. You have turned it from beast to beauty, well done!!:clapping:
Ok Ute is now fitted with a Excedy Cushioned Button Clutch and is heading to Willowbank on the 24th of June (this weekend ) to have a play in Street Series as missed out on getting in Commodore Drag Day.
Hey Mate, I have seen your ute around town, I am currently building up a vp ute and planning on using it as a promotional vehicle, I was wondering how much your supercharger kit was to buy and what sort of difficulty you had fitting it? btw my ute is the one half in undercoat with the one way vision checkplate window, may or may not have seen it.
Tuddles I am soon fitting a Raptor Supercharger to my ute. Do you drive yours in traffic much? I live in Sydney so I spend alot of time in traffic as my ute is my daily driver. Have you had any probs with yours in these conditions?
Turbojordan84 Cost for a Raptor Supercharger kit is $5000 which gives you everything u need to get it running and is easy as to fit up. Sorry haven't seen yours around town will keep eye out for u. VYyoot mine is a daily driver as well has no problems in traffic when I go to Brisbane.
Tuddles, how much did you pay for the MSD ignition coils each ?? also did you use Interface Modules ?? Jecs
Yes was allowed to have play ended up buying a spot as one guys car was not there the best time I could manage out of the 7 runs I did was a 15.1 @ 97.19 MPH this was the first time I have been on a Drag Strip so with some practise and Stickyer Tyres times will drop. Price on MSD Coils is $95 ea and they are direct replacements for original ones.
The weight for the utes is the same as a sedan which is 1362 kg with the stereo it may weight a bit more would have to put it on scales to find out properly
Ok got another intake manifold of a mate and have polished top of it up so cover has been given the flick also have made upown hot wire kit and have installed so will find out on saturday what gains they give. Here is pic of engine minus cover.
OK results from The Brock Shop dyno day on the 8/7/06 it now pulled 276.4rwhp or 206rwkw with just on 1100 lbs of tractable effort so picked up Top V6 Supercharged trophy plus Joe's Choice Award and got 1 lucky door prize, and that night at Harry's Diner for X Torque Audio Comp got 3rd in Amateur Show so was a good weekend.
Ok have got everything ready for next trip to Willowbank for a Test n Tune new helment and a pair of Mickey Thomspen ET Streets 235/60/15's on stock rims.
