Ok on the 17/2/07 the ute made another trip down the strip again this time the best time was 14.221 @ 98.58mph with 60ft of 2.077 with reaction time of .792, the first run was a 14.5 @ 99.32 mph so just got to play with tyre pressures.
OK some more pics from Goomeri Ute Show the Monaro rims are now painted HSV Gold the true colour they should be and new steering wheel fitted [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] Dalby Hunt for Grunt 4 21st april so might make trip out there and see what gains have been made with upgraded Raptor and new oil am running now (Royal Purple). If don't will be down in brissy for Street Comms Dyno Day in June am down as a reserve.
have you considered sectioning the pod filter off from the engine bay so you don't suck any hot air into the intake and possibly a couple bags of cement in the back of the tray to help traction on the 1/4mile some 3.46 gears in the diff will drop the 1/4 mile times, maybe enough to dip into the high 13's
Awesome ute man. I'm curious tho, you paid 5000 grand plus for 200 odd rwkw but in last months street machine magazine theres a intercooled supercharger kit with full internals done etc for 7000 grand. That helps the ecotec produce 280rwkw for only 2000 grand extra with all internals modded.
Ok reults from Dalby Hunt for Grunt 4 dyno comp first run 292.74rwhp or 218.38rwkw 2nd run 290.82rwhp or 216.95rwkw with 365.43nm of torque. Only changes to charger is it has been upgradered with new interals which all Raptors Charges now have as mine was one of the first 3 made, also engine oil was changed to Royal Purple. Here is Dyno Sheet. [/IMG]
Tuddles It seems there is no stopping the beast, with 260 000 kms on it you just keep making more power So whats the plan to find another 8 -10 hp and crack the magic 300 rwhp??? Maybe some Royal Purple in the diff and gearbox, gotta be another 4 or so hp there I think its just about optimised as far as you can go PS Tell you what, Martini do a good 104 octane unleaded race fuel ...........hint hint :yeah: http://www.martiniracing.com.au/Documents/Martini%20Race%20Fuel%20infoJULY.pdf
Have still been thinking about tidying exhaust up pipe work from extractors to Hi Flow cat are still factory so may look at replacing with 2.5" and maybe get a 3" race exhaust built or add what have now and run twin 2.5" race exhaust I think might be getting close to the limit of bad things happening if try to push it anymore.
you considered going to the larger (and split ratio) 1.95:1 / 1.90:1 YT roller rockers. the split ratio should benefit the supercharged setup. might be enough to break that 300hp mark
Not much is going on with ute am keeping eye on motor, has new set of plugs in after no 4 got closed up am looking for new ride so can rebuild motor and repaint ute and finish it off. to come back meaner than ever.
Ok have changed thermasat back to a factory 91 deg to get tune to settle down the 82deg is good but the Royal Purple oil is making motor run even cooler and is running very rich.
Tuddles Did I read somewhere the ute is coming of the road for an engine build? Got some info that you might like to know if this be the case
Yes ute will get full rebuild including motor just got to get something first before it comes off the road. also 82deg thermastat is back in.
Yes ute is insured at moment am using a broker that deals with Suncorp is only for market value they know about everything except charger and is fully alarmed too. Have got quote from Shannons to insure for Agreed Value including charger and all the other gear that is on ute.
Ok here is pic of the trophy from the Street Commodores Dyno day back in june it has taken 3 months for this trophy to finally arrive.
