Yeah, Commodores REALLY need to get smaller. My Statesman used to be big, but a new Omega drawfs it :p

Dont need to get smaller, just replace more of the steel with plastic:p...Ford proved this could work with the "Ka", what a nice car that was:bang:

It's true, Subaru proved this with the new Impreza. Then quickly filled the lineup with one of the least inspiring sedans on the road today :p

But for some of us they just aren't big enough :)

I can't tow a tonne with a Golf, for example.

1977 Holden LX Torana SS hatchback... NOT GAY

Volkswagen Golf GTI... arguably one of the best performance buys in the market.

Anyway, 3.0L in Omega and Berlina, as long as they can overtake well on the highway and tow a trailer, I can't see why they won't work. People don't buy an Omega or Berlina for outright power. Any gains in fuel economy will boost sales.

As long as SV6 and Calais get the 3.6L DI V6 and have some good poke, then its fine. I did read http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/holden-commodore-info-general-specifications/103430-alloytec-v6.html and somewhere it mentions the Alloytec can be configured to be a 3.8L or even a 4.0L. 4.0 DI Turbo V6...shove that up your Blue Oval...
