to be honest it wont be much of a difference between those two really... theyre both gunna rev high in normal hwy driving if you use it at the strip as long as you dont max out a gear just before the line with the 3.9's then it would bo ok, otherwise go the 3.7's... anyone here with a 5ltr stato that has tested these gears?

no worries mate,i dont do a great deal of hwy driving but i dont really like the idea of the gears reving out real quick, obviously 3.9s r gonna rev out quicker so thats y im leaning towards 3.7s.but is there a massive difference?any help would be great cheers.

3.45 would proably be better suited as its making good power whilst you still gain some acceleration down low with them

Ive got 3.9s in my blown clubby, but its manual so its a bit different.
And im going back down to 3.45s. 3.9s were great for n/a but now with the blower, it revs out too quickly

itll be easier and cheaper to find and buy 3.45's compared to 3.7 they pretty rare

With that sort of power you would probably be better going 3.45's......

I "think" it was foamy that said with cars that have FI the biggest you should go is about 3.45's? or you will have traction issue's...... I might be wrong, might be someone else....

it cost me a bit due to the fact i went to get them fitted to my lsd and get the lsd rebuilt but no good the lsd had been shimmed to many times so i had to get an open wheeler so i could get the mini spool fitted

3.9's all the way. Traction issues, you either need a better tyre choice or learn how to drive the car off the line. Never had an issue on the streets (except for when being stupid which is delibrate lose of traction) and down the drags, it sees some 1.5-1.6 60' times.. something the 3.45's never did.

Highway driving is annoy as hell, with high RPM, but car is not daily driven... more fortnightly run.

go the 3.45's if you are using it as a daily. other wise 3.9's

take it down the strip before and after :) so we know what difference it makes :)
