auto or manual? v6 or v8?

If a v6, with 3.9's you'll get a great start if you can get good traction down, but you will run out of revs quicker.

I put 3.73's in my old VX and only found half of a second.

Really couldn't give you an accurate estimate.

Stock a vr sedan auto should do about a 9.3sec 0-100kmph.

So if you're already running 8.5's your doing alright and I guess around the 8sec mark would be possible once the gears are in.

Keeping in mine you would probably also need the auto tuned.

And what does it rev at 100kmph now? multiply that by 1.266 (3.91/3.08), should tell you what you will be reving at with the 3.91 gears.

All VR's run about that time to 100 in the real world (roads tests were slow, dunno why)

The gears will get you under 8 on your good runs but don't expect miricles, the gain will feel alot faster than it is due to the quicker gear changes. One problem is you might not have enough revs to get to 100 in second anymore and that will slow you up (the extra shift)

Yes that extra gear change to 100 is a pain in the ass for 0-60 times on the gtech but if you quick it should be right, i think i would get around 80-90 out of 2nd maybe not sure i need a speedo correcter

I was talking about mine, and its manual but you have an auto so i would put 3.9s in if i was you, i am after 3.7s because 1st gear and 2nd comes to to quick, but yeah 3.9s would be good in a auto, and also get the gearbox shift kit corvet servo if it doesnt already have it, everything adds up to make a fast car,

mate just put 4.11s in there VS v6 auto and it has 97rwkws and did a 1/8th in 10.3ish thats about normal nothing spesh though it would have been better, but i think 3.9s would be best for you, if not 3.7s 3.45s you wouldnt notice and a shift kit to get it there quick to 100.

you would need the limiter raised but i dunno if you will really benifit from it, if the gear changes are quick and you get traction it should be good.

only thing im worried about is will 2nd gear reach 100kph?
with stock gears 1st reaches about 60-65kph and 2nd reaches about 120kph. if i put 3.9s would it be more lyk 40kph in first and 80kph in 2nd?
