Thanks for all your replies everyone. so my question was is there room to fit 2 capsules or 2 rear facing seats + 1 forward facing seat. By the time the twins arrive my daughter will be 2 so she still needs to be in a child seat. thanks nut cracker for your information. i didn't realize they didn't recommend placing a cold in the middle seat. Now I'm confused, do most people with 3 children in child seats get a 7 seater? What other options are there?

You could fit two seats.
But three? It may be a bit of a squeeze, due to the fact that you might not be able
to access the seat belt buckles with all the seats in the way.

Why would they fit an anchor point in the middle if it's not recommended to use it?
How would the child become a projectile if he/she is restrained correctly?
Surely it's safer than an adult sitting in the middle seat with just a lap seatbelt.

Agree with nut kracker - three seats will fit, but will be a bit of a squeeze.

Also agree with ephect - go to a baby shop and ask if you can 'try before you buy'. It's the only way you'll know for sure...

I would also like to know how this would occur.

No matter what seat position they are in, if they aren't strapped in properly they will become a projectile. If they are strapped in properly, they won't.

I think what they mean is, that in the case something does goes wrong in an accident,
and the seat does come adrift, the back of the front seats will offer some protection.
Where as, if the seat is in the middle, there is nothing to stop it becoming a projectile
and exiting the car through the front windscreen.
:rip:
If you were in a bad accident,
it wouldn't be a great out come either way.
But I'd take the side fitting of the seat any day.....

(Haha I'm a poet and I didn't know it)

OP this is probably more helpful
Although not recommended it appears you could fit the 3 would just be difficult accessing the buckles

No..
They just get the bigger cars like Commodores and falcons we had 3 and always got away with these
Wagons are normally more convenient
