Hi All

I have a VE SS Wagon nearing it's 300,000 kms birthday.
Apart from the usual fluids and filters would anyone suggest anything else to check or replace?

Cheers Mick

What does the service manual suggest? I'd just be doing that. If it doesn't go that far, just do the 150,000 service plus any additional items from the 100,000 service. That should cover you.

Basically, what you can afford from reputable brands. Also, if not done before, the suspension bushes and strut tops will be very tired. I did all the bushes in my VR years ago at 300k. It was obvious they were all original and the ride was getting noisy and very uncomfortable. The car skipped over bumps in corners. The difference after they were done was amazing. These sorts of things creep up slowly and you don't realise how worn they are.

Boge Turbo shocks if they still sell them.
Otherwise KYB, Sachs, Koni or Monroe GT Gas.
I have not tried the no name stuff like Optima and would prefer the big brands.
