It makes no difference how much power you have, torque will win races every time. Power is just a figure, torque is usable.

essentialy
torque is a measure of how much work it can do.
power is a measure of how fast it can do that work.

same torque and more power will be faster. as the same level of force can be applied in less time

more torque but less power can also be faster as more force can be exerted over the same period of time butt this is a sliding scale

i disagree.

a clunker diesel engine with bucketloads of torque but no power vs a car with less torque but more power will lose every time.
its about useable power and torque.... and where it is in the rev range.

Just look at the SIDI and fords I6. Pretty similiar times, yet the Ford has bucketloads more torque.
