304 air filter??

Hi all,
I was reading Street Commodores recently and come across an add for Meguiar's Performance Car Care, in the picture it had a very tidy looking 304 (I Think) with an air filter on the front like a motor bike air filter. It looks very nice but I am unsure how it all goes. Have a look for yourself in the June Issue page 23 and let me know what you think.

Thats Damien Lowes car (CHU88Y) as far as i can see, it's just a banana manifold thats had the front cut off, a new flange welded on the front and a twin butterfly throttle body put on. It would be quiet easy to do, if you had access to a TIG welder and some sheetmetal skills.

Cheers mate been wondering for a while now, looks really nice, good airflow too. It sucks the 304 throttle body goes to the side, are banana manifolds hard to get hold of? can you do it with the standard manifold?

304 manifolds are a dime a dozen! Yes, it certainly could be done to a standard manifold.
