Man I'd love a group a manifold.

Anyway, I've acquired a second rebuild kit with hypertec flat tops, Hastings moly 'racing' rings and all king/durabond bearings. This set of pistons has circlips. Guessing they can be set up to use a bushed rod to be fully floating? They can probably also be used in a semi floating setup too I'd guess. I'll need to do some measuring.

I've designed my cam bearing removal tool (very simple, will be utilising an old camshaft to make it). Keen to get this back together, got too many engines in pieces around atm haha.

It's shame the mould for the Grp A manifolds are no longer about because if someone was to make another run of em they would sell like hot cakes.

I quite like the trickshift manifolds. I'd love to have a go at making my own ttb manifold. Got a decent tig and lathe, still looking for a milling machine though. Got a fair bit of learning to do in regards to tigging alloy though lol.

I would have got one if the price was reasonable.

EYY, I'm enjoying this build mate, keep it coming. Ps need more pictures.

Agreed. Keen to get this happening.

NOS Wade 325C flat tappet cam (probably for another project...) - got this one for $100. Kinda similar to a 286.

Plus rings/bearings etc.
Crane compucam 2030 is in the auspost tube. I actually purchased gaskets, but they sent the wrong ones so they've been returned but I haven't reordered any yet. Was planning on going with durapro graphlex head gaskets.

The Starr manifold added $500 to the cost of this engine. I've seen them sell for $1k used before so not too disappointed with the price. Not sure which pistons to use at this stage, anybody got experience with either brand?

Shite $500 for starr manifold is decent...tbh they're overpriced at 1k plus when diy ported hiwinder copy + throttle body elbow will more for less bucks.

Weirdly I like look of banana manifold with vt covers slightly more than harrop single plane although would be awsome if we could have stuff skyhigh out the bonnet no hassles lol.

Reckon go with whatever smaller cam you got so that it feels like it's got more torque to add to lpg & higher comp.

Never heard of those jcc pistons...heavy?

Great pictures.
That starr was a good buy. Should flow plenty of cfm for you and look factory stealth.
I'll be interested on dyno numbers once running
