304 efi knocking tapping milky oil

Hey everyone new here, after some help.
Vr commodore rebuilt vs s3 motor, running epc12208 flat tappet camshaft, new hydraulic lifters,(99% sure) standard pushrods, rockerarms. Etc..ill try and be simple as possible. So ive got 13000ks on engine now it had tappet noise so i took 1mm off the bridge posts until it quitened down all up around 4mm was taken off. Notice no noise but lacked in power did maybe 1hr driving like this, i then got washers about 1mm thick and placed them under rocker arm post as i thought valves wernt 100% shut. Engine was abit more meaner but noise came back when idleing in street, then turned to tapping then knocking pretty loudly, end result it died on me approx 2000rpm and now oil is milky, radiator is dry and yet to pull valve cover.

Suspect head damage or block from faulty lifter ? I dont see how knocking noise would spit a head gasket, i think it maybe off to the stars? Prior to this uptill 12000ks smidge over it ran fine and was quite pokey

Probably chewed cam up...for sure got some dead lifters.

Why didn't you adjustable roller rockers & get pushrods measured up for correct length.

Either way got some decent damage requiring engine out autopsy
