I just put a crow 222/230 108 lsa in a stock comp carbed efi headed 304, I'm pretty happy with it, sounds cool, doesn't seem to have lost any down low, maybe gained some and pulls heaps better after 4500rpm smoother compared to stock cam. pulls to 6k not game to rev past 6000rpm but i reckon it would, even though it'd stop making power anyway

Just out of curiosity, is the engine a completely stock 304 from VN onwards or have you put VN efi style heads on a VL spec 304 short block?

is a stock 5L out of a VS commodore, apparently had 280,000km on it when I bought it was very clean inside though, no sludge build up etc. I've probably done 6000km since putting carb set up on it in my HQ. it was only ever a temporary motor but will probably have to do for another few years yet until I can build something decent.

also the tacho has accidently crept up to the 7000+ rpm mark with new cam, i need a rev limiter if im gonna spin the wheels i think.
