Hey guys,

I was just wondering does anyone have any information about these manifolds?
intrigued to what they where optioned on. Obliviously they were a complete motec package available through HSV or through motec?

Any info would be awesome!

Thanks guys.

weren't through HSV, motec is an aftermarket company, those manifolds are ancient history now

not much to tell. they were an expensive manifold that produced roughly the same amount as cheaper manifold.

the Motec Manifold was later bought by Flowcraft. a few people did buy them.

i saw a legit motec one on ebay a few month ago that was around the 6-7 grand mark.

Vx executive and vs s3 ute
My brother bought a motec setup for his 215i manual senator, now that it's whippled he put the motec setup into his vs ute. With a run-in tune and cam it made 270rwhp, after a few thousand more km's he can get a retune and hopefully see a 30rwhp increase to hit that 300 mark.

one of the VS CSV (Corsa Special Vehicles) (I think it was a stroker) was fitted with one of these
From memory it made something like 250kw, which wasn't too bad for it's time for an ADR compliant car (considering the VS GTS & GTS-R were only good for 215kw. I've got a magazine with the feature somewhere....

they actually were a rather good manifold. Not as good as the Grp A, but they fit under the bonnet which was an advantage. If you ever see the lid off one, you'll note they are fitted with bell mouths (similar to Grp A).

Thanks for your input guys much appreciated! :)

Darren any chance you could scan that article?
Yeah I managed to find 1 picture with the cover off looked like a lot of work had gone into designing them. Sorta reminds me of the new harrop ones a bit.
It's a intriguing setup/design and as you said we'll for its day.

Flow craft make the motec now. It's exactly the same aside from the name.

They work very well but they are big, bulky and expensive. Flow craft sell them for 3-4 k

but it looks so damn good!looking at manifolds in nz,things like the COME twin tb manifold arent far off 5k,makes 3 or 4k not so bad.still not keen on having all the inlet at one end.thinking a gpA style is more balanced.lot of work making one!
