Brought a new 30mm socket with the intent of changing the diff oil.
Well it has plently of slopp/play and and I am not:cry: real keen on trying to loosen
the fill plug/bolt.
Non LSD diff series 2 04 VY so is it 30mm or 29mm.

Fred

I'd recommend investing in a quality set of socket wrenches. A good one will cost you around $200, but treated right will last a lifetime, and you'll be wondering how you ever managed without one :)

As Danja said, invest in a good quality socket set and you will never look back, and its cheaper than buying sockets individually. If you go Sidchrome, they have a lifetime warranty so if you break anything you can take it to any shop that stocks it and they'll give you a free one from my understanding.

I'd recommend Sidchrome 14210 1/2" DR 33 piece metric set (about $170), Imperial is not used much these days and many sets come mixed imperial and metric so that's why i bought the 14210 metric set and 1/2" drive is big enough to handle most jobs.

I'd say that it's neither 29 or 30 but rather one in between which will be imperial.
