340 headers VF2

Hey guys, read all the threads on this however just had one quick question. Im about to get 340 headers installed on my VF2 SSVR, can I retain my factory cats or do I require HSV ones to go with the headers? Cheers

I'd use the 340 HSV cats, if you can get them.

I have the HSV 340 headers and cats fitted but when I had them side by side it looked like the VFII cats would work. I think internally the holden and HSV cats are the same? Both 400 cpi? I would be keen for some bolt on high flow cats in the stock position but they seem to start at about $800 and getting them custom made is about the same.

I’d make it work with VFII cats and a short piece of 2.25” (or 2.5”) mandrel as downpipe from header flange to cat inlet. Keep Euro 5 gear, less likely need for tune, should perform well, tunable downpipe.

I fitted pacemaker 5387's and had them linked too a gts 2.5" cat back.

Cost for pipework / magnaflow 200cell 30deg angled cats $800. Similar sort of work if you do This with the 340 headers. Then you'll need a tune.
