Hi my WH Caprice sometime has water overflow as if car is boiling. This is an intermittent problem which if I restart the car and let it idle a couple of minutes it won’t do it again when I turn off.
The car does not run hot and It tows a caravan regularly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. My thoughts on this is it could be a faulty cap?

My guess would be faulty surge tank cap also.

Wouldn’t hurt to just replace the cap they are cheap enough

could also be a blocked Water pipe in the head (not to sure on their names but its where the water goes to the heads) my WH was blocked never over heated but when car turned off it dumped out of the overflow bottle eventually wrecking my seal in the overflow cap and replaced the cap twice be for i found the problem so get it inspected by a micro cam to see if its that be for its too late.
