Thats right. The only difference from a 5.7 stroker top end and a 5l top end is the injectors..

Stroked 5.7L used in the 215i Commodores GTS,Senators and gts r hsv's

Blocks are honed,set main bearings,tuned cam,ported heads,blueprinted block,3 angle cut valves,8.85 compression.

All GTS/Senator VS were Manual T56 with 165rwkw stock

GTS used Larger Brakes,Hydratrack diff.

ah no subdue they were not, sorry mate.
I have to disagree with you on that as i have seen the internals of my engine when it got pulled apart.
All 215's, senator and gts got the hydratrak and t56 yes( senator was optioned with auto)
but the rest is wrong.

Also the VR/VS strokers had 8.5:1 comp but as u said subdue the VT's had 8.8:1 compression

Ported heads didn't happen but the inlet manifold was modified for extra flow and the heads them self incorporated new exhaust valves and seats, dampers and springs.
also a new timing chain and damper that only the 5.7's got.

blueprinted block was an option from the Vs upwards.

yes we do. Wasn't havin a dig bro, just pointing ya in the right direction.
We can all help each other out. I've started to become a bit of a guru with the work i have had done on the senator.
The 215 should have been a much better engine. The bearings are s*#t, the heads should have been worked on a bit, and the intake should have been twin ttb or something alot better..
Still a good base to start a project though!!
