5 Litre Firing order ??

    Stupid question, and I know ill get a laugh, but whats the firing order for the 5 litre?? :b:

    I know the Chev's order, but that doesnt help ;)

    isn't it stamped on the block or inlet manifold?

    I should have done the plug and lead change one by one but Ive replaced the dizzy cap and want to make sure its right before I put it all back together.
     
  5. loook at the attachment mate....the firing order is 1 2 7 8 4 5 6 3
    cyl numbers ( drivebelt end to tranny end) left bank 2 4 6 8
    right bank 1 3 5 7 .................

    Is it true the leads are difficult to get at...fit????

    yep all injected leads are hard and usually break if you aint real careful

    I dont know about breaking, it is a prick of a job as I did mine today. I took my covers off and could just squeeze my hands in to pull the dizzy cap off so I could get the new leads on easier. Not something I want to do again in a hurry

    holden sure didnt think about being an owner friendly engine :) i rpelaced mine when the engine was out and saved me alot of rooting around.

    That would have been easier for sure, but there is no way in hell that im pulling it out ;)

    I got it done in the end, besides the one lead on the cap that wasnt sitting properly . . and it had to be the one under the manifold. Damn it!

    All good now :)
