could be any price matelook around everywhere is different if you want to spend otu a bit more throw an r33 box in the bolt straight up
Hey mate, when i had to replace mine it cost like 750 replaced and fitted, roughly 450 for gearbox and that was with 6 month warrenty
so.. is it better to get a reconditioned rb30/get it reconditioned, or go for a different box that will go straight in?
yeah like 1000 cheaper lol. last time i purchased an rb20 gearbox that was 550 but ive seen vl boxes for round 400
I checked out rb25 gearbox's on Ebay and they start at about $1300. I'm thinking the $450 sounds better... Maybe I could pick up a used one in pretty good condition for much cheaper?
Only on my L's at the moment and because I live in NSW that means no turbo but one day I will turbo it! not too sure about other things, ideas?
Personnaly this is what i want to do, buy an A8 engine with stock turbo and everything, rebuild everything add a cooler and everything buy a turbo 5spd box rebuild that and when everythings ready ill do a big conversion. Atm i would only get a decent zorst and stezza while your on your p's
currently got a 2.5" exhaust with the factory extractors. I'm thinking throughout my P's I'll get it looking all sweet and save money for open licence, then spend a lot of money rebuilding the engine. No need to think about engine plans and all that for now though..
I'd be replacing the extractors then, this may sound silly but right yourself a list of what you wanna do. And for the parts and everything you wanna run find out how much it is and everything come up with like a plan of what your going to do when. Also ct is a good place for turbo talk
