VL ran from '86 to '88, and Holden didn't start making cars until 1948. The maths doesn't work...

Now if it was a VT, different story...

Vt came out in 1997. That makes it 21.

Holden started making cars in 1948, 1998 (50yrs later) they were making VT's...

Sorry no l didn't read the link you posted till after l posted. Still didn't realise they were talking about Holden 50 year annivesary model (thought they couldn't count either ha ha ha) till l read your thread answering me.

There was a Series III VS ute that was issued as a 50th Anniversary along with the 1998 VT.

I'm wondering if the OP was referring to the Series 200 but that was only a sedan and not released in the wagon body style.

There was no anniversary VL of any kind from what I can recall

Yes, I'm thinking the same, although in hindsight it seems strange there was no 40th anniversary in '88 for either VL or VN?. I remember the 50th VS you mentioned, I seem to recall they were all 5 litres? Or am i mistaken..?
