i was going to post this as well, but i thought the answer was too obvious and i must be missing something in the question

I would say he is talking about the actual elbows that sit in the front of the rocker covers....They have a tab, so they can only go 1 way. They normally don't come out, but some do. Just fit them back in, they should be a neat fit, but you could always put some sealer on them to make sure they don't fall out again, a bit of silicone would do the trick.
