Hi all... simple question

What have you guys found to be the best spark plug gap for the 304 v8?

Tried a few different gaps and mine seems really sensitive to even the smallest reduction in gap.

at the moment i have them at 1.2mm, seems to run the best

Bump! - Anyone know the gap for the VT, being the same motor, I'd assume it's the same gap ?
Got new plugs to put in (just some NGK R's which I don't believe are anything top of the wozza) just wanna know whether I have to do the gap myself or if they should be okay to plug and play :)
Hoping to do it today!

Cheers

The NGK BP5FS are the way to go I think they have a 1mm gap which is fine.
Some people run there gap down to .8 and some run 1.2mm iv found it never made a great deal of difference.

Cheers wez,

will just run these plugs for the moment which are the BPR6EF ones I think, figure if my current ones are cactus.. these will be more than a good step up.
Will get better more expensive plugs when I'm chasing much bigger performance.

Sorry the NGK number i said waz for the carby 5L, The ones you have are right but still have the 1mm gap the BP5FS have a 1.5mm (carby) .
Dont fall in the myth of more expensive plugs such as iridium plugs are better for performance they only last longer.
NGK even say this on there web site.

I run 1.1mm, on platinum plugs. I basically run them cause i cant be assed changing plugs every 10k. These ones have done 50k so far and i really dont feel as if they need looking at yet. With ABS its just a pain to to the Driver side.
