I bought a full manual conversion from a mechanic for $1000. He offered to install it for $2700, and I'm pretty sure that included purchase price.

Where do you live? I can do a T5 conversion in your driveway for a good price.

lol Greenfoam, I should start an interstate mobile Manual and 304 conversion business :p

You'd need V8 brakes (1" master, bigger rotors, bigger finned calipers + pads), and V8 springs (technically, but you can get away without the springs). The diff should be fine, I think some V8 diffs had shot peened gears, but I don't think you'll need them. BW diffs tend to be pretty hardy to start with.

Then you have to consider Morton's petrol bill for carting a trailer full of tools interstate :p

... however, I should have some time off work in a month ;)
