Hi Mace, sorry I don't get online here much. Yes, the black square/ rectangular sleeve for the TPS was on the shaft as per instructions, the only thing I found that wasn't in the kit but was mentioned in the installation instruction, was the aluminum looking reducer that goes in line with the vacuum line going to the bottom of the throttle body. I rang the shop and (I presume) one of your tech guys said it was not necessary. I suspect I still have an issue despite returning to the original TB. I have replaced the IACV and have a new TPS coming.
However I'm doing more on the car since posting and I have now only just finished doing the lower intake gasket and fitted the 25mm manifold insulator spacer and 12mm plenum spacer and now think I have a vacuum leak to address....... my bad, I used the blue permatex gasket goo everywhere else on the spacers but not on that last surface (I wanted to pull the plenum cover off again soon and machine polish it) so I think its my old O type ring gasket (have a new one coming) but could potentially be around the pipe for the EGR valve to the plenum ( I had to use a G clamp to help me get the flange to mate up with the plenum). If I cannot resolve this with a few new parts I might need to post an update.

After installing your new throttle body, it is normal for the engine light to light up, because the engine control unit (ECU) must relearn the parameters of the new component. You can use an OBD-II scanner to clear the trouble codes and perform a throttle body relearning procedure, if necessary. Also checks the electrical connections and the absence of vacuum leaks. If the indicator light remains on, it is advisable to consult a professional mechanic.

Hi Dave,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you, have you installed the the sleeve as mentioned in the fitting instructions? It should be under step 3 in the following fitting instructions (Make sure to save the plastic square sleeve that slides off the shaft end (circled in red).

Hi Mace, Following up; I've rectified my vacuum leak with the new plenum gasket, replaced my TPS with a new one and reinstalled my original TB. The Engine is running fine now so not keen to fit the 69mm TB again until I'm ready to get a dyno (I'll consider installing the 69mm TB once I've fitted extractors and go get my car on a dyno that can tune my ECU and transmission settings.) Thanks for your earlier input. D
