may as well use full range 6x9s :D

Can't really think of any 8s that have impressed me lately.

I was looking at running two 8" subs in the rear parcel shelf rather than a single 10" or 12" in the boot however I couldn't find much of a range of 8" subs.

Pioneer have a shallow mount 8" aswell now. I'd really recommend a 10" or 12" in the boot though. You can make it so that it takes up very little space... Like a fibreglass box moulded into a corner or shallow box mounted up under the parcel shelf, etc.

well
i can say for a fact that they do make a 8 in type X alpine sub
but of how much it will cost i doubt you would wanna get two of them

my friend has a set of 4 inch type x splits
$400 for them
kinda scary
i mean if they can make speakers that small sound that good then like the other brands have a lot of catching up to do.
maybe its cost of materials to make the speaker is just too great
