Car's been feeling a little sluggish lately. Thought it might have been the valves tightening up, so measured the valve clearances today. All were within specs.

Will throw a new air and fuel filter in it before the weekend see how it goes.

Fitted up on of my 35 inch tyres to my spare rim. Going to put it on different corners of the car then flex it up and see how much if at all it fouls the guards to work out the offset of the rims i'll need. As it's on standard 0 offset rims atm.

Pulled the fuel sender out tonight, hoping i would find something partially blocking the pickup or something....but nothing.

Sucks because the rear seats had to come out to get to it.

While since i've done an update. Not much has been happening really.

Broke the fuel inlet pipe to the injection pump. A replacement fitting was impossible to find, rang 4 general wreckers and 2 4WD specific ones and couldnt find one so ended up getting it repaired and replacing most of the hardline with soft. Car pulls much better.

Its getting used as a bit of a workhorse lately, towing the new trailer about and also the boat.

    Just a few random shots.

Totally. It was the slowest race ever...missed the next set of lights and everything. Cruiser is a slug. On a good day, it will just stay ahead of my mates Corona up to 80km/h. Built for comfort, not speed ;)

Got the cruiser back from insurance. Shitty job done on it, but was to be expected.

Going back at the end of the month.

Have decided to stop being slack and put the 3 inch lifted rear springs in it soon, will also put some spacers in the front because the rake is pretty aggressive at the moment and would prefer it to all be as level as possible.

Sab, how do you rate the Mickey AT's?
Friend of mine runs them and I was considering them for 33's in 305/65/17 or 285/70/17

They're great. Not noisy on the road at all, and handle offroad fine. They've taken me the same places as people with Simex's with the only limiting factor being the car, not the tyres.

Started doing a bit of work on the cruiser this weekend as i'll need it for the Honeymoon down to tassie next month.

Load Sensing Proportioning Valve has had a leak in it for a while. So i decided to pull it apart and put some new O-Rings in it. Seems to be OK so far. I also moved it down about a quarter of an inch to account for the lift.

Pads were quite low so i swapped them over for some 100 Series pads. They fit straight into the 80's calipers but have more braking surface. Also did a brake fluid flush while i was under there.

Did an oil change, and got a new bolt for the LH caliper which had gone missing...whoops.

    On 35's.

And the 33 every day tyres next to the 35

Also gives a good indication of tread depth for Rory as to wear.

    Update Time -

Took the car down to Tasmania for the Honeymoon. Did about 1300km in two weeks and it didnt miss a beat which was great. Put the rear tyre carrier back on "just in case" didnt need it though.

    On the boat

Fuel prices were a pit high in places

Back to work again....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then this happened.

Rock went straight through the glass lens. Which is ****.

    Decided to buy these:

    Spotlight lensed HiBeam lamps
    [IMG]

Into those, i will put these:

Which will be tantamount to having 4 spotlights now on the front of the car, with the added bonus that im still within my light limit.
