Cruiser has had a clicking Uni for a while, and it finally got squeaky so ordered a pair of uni's for the front and a pair of uni's for the rear tailshafts.

Also ordered some Caster Correction Bushes and Swivel Hub rebuild kits.

pardon my ignorance but what does a swivel hub do? other than swivel off course

Because the Cruiser runs a solid front axle, the swivel hub provides a point of pivot for the steering. The CV runs inside the ball you can see in the pic and there is an outer casing that has the attachment for the steering arms etc. And also ensures that the CV and wheel/kingpin bearings stay dirt free. I've got more pics from when i was disassembling so will post them up in the next few days.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1377777130.473742.jpgTwo more uploads. Out of sequence...but you can see that there has been an ingress of diff oil past the seal onto the CV.

Hopefully the pics explain it a bit better?
