I ran out of fuel today. someone suggested there was a 15ltr reserve once i hit the E on the gauge because everytime i fill up from there its around 60 65ltrs i made it about 30-50kms once i hit the E on the gauge. i will know for certain how much fuel it holds once i fill her up again because i worked out while i was sitting on the side of the road contemplating what to do and extremely ticked off that you can see how much fuel is in tank by pressing and holding the set button when in certain section of the trip computer. everywhere i read says they have a 80ltr tank do they or dont they:S:bang:
its only 8ltrs from E in vp v6's.just empty your tank and fill it up 20ltr fuel tanks and that will tell you. it should and i would think being a 5lts calais that it has a 80ltr tank like the the rest of the 5ltrs.do you any big dents or bumps in the tank?
80 or 73L In the VS, Holden "changed" the fuel tank capacities from 63/80 to 59/73. However, the tanks were the same. The original figures were for the tanks drip feed till completely full, but the owners manual warned against doing so (unless planning to drive at least 50 km immediately) due potential fuel expansion problems. If you plan on 73L, you should keep out of trouble, especially if you monitor fuel used over time and adjust the calibration if necessary to make it accurate.
VR/VS Capacities are sedan 63, station wagon 68, Ute 64, sedan optional & V8 standard 75, Statesman & Caprice 75.
r k fair enough wasnt happy because the computer one said there was 6ltrs left in it to least it didnt stuff anything though which is a good thing just made me stronger pushing it 500mtrs down the road to the servo lol
75 or 6? in my VS Caprice The fuel left thing is a GUIDE not a law. Basically head to a station before E. Or carry a spare 5 litres in the boot like I do.
